California Trucking Association's Kern Unit Donates $22,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation
As long standing supporters of the local Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Kern Unit of the California Trucking Association (CTA) presented a check for $22,000 to the organization to fund wishes for four Kern County kids. The check presentation was held at the annual CTA golf tournament during their luncheon on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverlakes Golf Course.
The donated funds will be used to grant the wishes of four Kern County kids all who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Three of the children, along with their families, will be attending the luncheon and are humbled and honor to be present for this important occasion.
Medical professionals are referring eligible children in record numbers because they are seeing how wishes affect health outcomes for children fighting critical illness.
